Comment: The Valley of the Moon H3 and East Bay H3 River float combo weekend returns once more! Once again, VMH3 will be hosting Saturday trail with EBH3 hosting the float on Sunday. Details for Saturday trail: WHAT: Riverfloat weeknd Eagle/turkey trail WHERE: Riverfront Regional Park in Sonoma County, just southwest of Windsor. Parking costs a few bucks, locals bring your Regional Parks Pass. WHEN: 7/11/2026, meet at 1pm, pack off at 1:30. WHO: Hare is Dickweed (I know, what a surprise) Further details: It is usually hot this time of year so bring a water bottle and plan to go swimming at the beer check (river is public so skinny dip at your own risk)! There will be a very short and flat walkers trail, a slightly longer turkey with a bit of hill and a longer eagle trail with a bit more hill. Eagles get a mix of pavement and dirt, everyone else gets just dirt trails. Oh and dogs are welcome! After trail, we will have some snacks and beer but the plan is to leave fairly soon to head out to Wrinklepecker and Cosmic Pussy's place in Guerneville (address will be posted eventually) for dinnner and circle! It's also where the kegs will be. Dinner is semi-potlock style. Main entree will be provided but please bring a side dish or desset to share! There will be a barbecue and full kitchen that can be used to prep your dish. Cost TBA but somewhere between 10-20 bucks. SUNDAY: (all details subject to Sperm Donor providing more specific details, this is solely off bad memory) A separate event page will be posted for that soon but here are the spark notes. For runners, meet early, something like 8am, at Steelhead beach on the Russian River to drop your stuff. Runners then go to Sunset Beach where the float ends so cars can be stashed and then run back to Steelhead. Non-runners meet around 9am because parking fills quick. Further parking with shuttle to Steelhead will be an options, details eventually. Pack off down the river at 11am or so. Bring suncreen and beer. Finish in many hours. OUT OF TOWNERS: Hash crash space is available! Wrinklepecker and Cosmic Pussy have some indoor space with more outdoor tent space available. There are also other hashers in nearby cities who can provide you with a bed. Ask and you shall receive!
