Event: https://facebook.com/events/s/truckee-river-float/1303203481138090/ 🦩 Trashy Last Summer Hurrah!! 🦩 The days are long, the water's warm, and dignity is optional. When: July 25 Theme: Trashy Last Summer Hurrah!! Break out your finest tourist shirts, socks-with-sandals combo, fake designer sunglasses, fanny packs, oversized cameras, and any other questionable vacation attire you've been saving for just such an occasion. Float Details • Meet Time: Around 10:30 AM • Kick-Off Time: Approximately 11:00–11:15 AM • Distance: Approximately 4 miles • Float Time: About 3–4 hours on the river • Total Commitment: Take the whole day off at this point. Might as well make the best of it. Meeting Location We will be meeting at the Tahoe City Transit Center. Instead of pulling into the transit center, continue to the right on the paved road. You'll come to a large parking lot with two porta-potties and, most likely, a bunch of people getting ready to float. We'll be inflating rafts in the parking lot before heading to the river. Parking can be a little creative, so plan on making a parking spot work wherever possible. There may also be opportunities to park in the dirt along the side of the paved road. Transportation Plan on carpooling if you can. We'll coordinate carpooling a little closer to the event, but at least three vehicles will need to be positioned at the ending point. Once everyone arrives there, we'll pile into those vehicles and shuttle back to the start. It sounds a little complicated, but just follow Chuck n Cheese, and I will do my darndest to not let anyone get lost or drown. Suggested Attire • Hawaiian shirts from the clearance rack • Tube tops and tank tops with questionable slogans • White sneakers that should have been retired years ago • Socks with sandals • Fanny packs • Visors • Oversized tourist cameras • Sunburn makeup encouraged Competitions 🏆 World's Worst Vacationer🏆 Trashiest Tourist🏆 Most Committed Costume🏆 Best River-Float Rig (Prizes
