DH4 #1675 Hauntfest-World Peace Through Beer Hash (Run/Walk) You get two themed hashes for the price of one!!! Strangely enough Hauntfest is not scheduled this year to be the last Saturday of October, which is the 31st. A perfect date in my opinion! To quote the great Jason Minto that I used to work with back in the day, "It is what it is". So, let's make beer out of lemons, which is I think another great quote from Mr. Minto. Date: Saturday, October 24, 2026 Time: 3 pm Location: Casa Da Gimp, 140 Jones Street, Dayton OH, 45410 Street only parking. Go around to the backyard, sign-in, grab a beer and haunt peacefully. IMPORTANT! They will be closing the Oregon District residential streets sometime before the start of Hauntfest (7 pm - 1 am). If you happen to get stopped by street security guards especially if you are late, print out or show the facebook party invite to the guard to allow you in the residential area. If they still won't allow you in, you can always park on the other side of U.S. 35 and walk across the pedestrian bridge. Cost: $8 for beer drinkers; otherwise, $4. Free for first time hashers! DH4 is proudly helping all beer-producing nations by encouraging production and consumption of beer and helping various hash groups open their eyes to the variety of beers and flavors enjoyed by hashers everywhere! Hauntfest is one of the largest adult Halloween parties in Ohio, where people stumble around drunk in funny costumes, sometimes misleading Gimp into thinking that cute girls butt is actually a guy! 😲 It is held in the Oregon District on 5th Street. Tickets are $16.54 in advance, $20 at the gate. Avoid the long lines and buy it online, so that they can quickly scan in your QR code to let you in. Afterwards, we'll walk over to Hauntfest to join the festivities. For circle and you must bring a six- or four-pack of beer brewed from outside the United States. Sorry, Corona, Heineken, Foster's, and Labatt do not count! Bring something unique even though you never had it before yourself. We'll be sharing each other's beer and critiquing our selections... but peacefully like a U.N. debate where nothing is decided or done. 😁" Hash Trail: Well first, wear your silly Halloween costumes. In political U.N. speak where everyone is appeased, trail is most likely A-to-A, but it could be A-to-B, A-to-A', or A-to-B-to-C that will lead back to A. Length is between 0.69 to five miles. Shig level is anywhere between amazon jungle Level-5 to we burned all the jungle Level-1. Beer of course is plentifully and will be your favorite style, brand, color, and taste. Oh, and we also have hash songs just above the haring guide! 😁 Hashing in General: This is a fun run or hike where you will follow a trail of flour not knowing exactly where it will lead. One or more beer/water stops along the way! In hashing you'll will be running/walking as part of a group. The faster runners will be out ahead looking for flour marks on the ground trying to figure out which way the trail route goes. Sometimes they go the wrong way which allows the slow runners/walkers to catch up and even get ahead. This allows everyone to go at their own pace and stay together as a group. Dogs: Allowed on a leash during trail. Must be "peaceful" to people and other dogs. Children: Adults only for first time hashers, since many of us do drink beer. 😋 Otherwise 18+. Must be 21 to enter Hauntfest. On-After: We'll eat wieners and snacks at Gimp's. Bring food to share. After much consumption of international beer we'll walk over to Hauntfest and join the party.
