DH4 #1675 World Peace Through Beer Hash (Run/Walk) World Peace Through Beer is an annual event held on the closest hashing day to United Nations Day, Oct. 24. DH4 is proudly helping all beer-producing nations by encouraging production and consumption of beer and helping various hash groups open their eyes to the variety of beers and flavors enjoyed by hashers everywhere! Still being planned but maybe we'll do this..."Since this is World Peace Through Beer you must bring a six- or four-pack of beer brewed from outside the United States. Sorry, Corona, Heineken, Foster's, and Labatt do not count! Bring something unique even though you never had it before yourself. We'll be sharing each other's beer and critiquing our selections... but peacefully like a U.N. debate where nothing is decided or done. 😁" Date: Saturday, October 24, 2026 Time: 3 pm Location: Still in the planning phases! But it will be in a peaceful Dayton neighborhood devoid of crazy Karen's yelling at us to keep off their lawn. Cost: $8 for beer drinkers. Otherwise, $4. Free for first time hashers! Just remember the U.N. Beer Disaster Relief Fund has already been consumed, so you only get what you pay for. Hares: Power Pack & Saran Hash Trail: In political U.N. speak where everyone is appeased...Trail is mostly likely A-to-A, but it could be A-to-B, A-to-A', or A-to-B-to-C that will lead back to A. Length is between 0.69 to five miles. Shig level is anywhere between amazon jungle Level-5 to we burned all the jungle Level-1. Beer of course is plentifully and will be your favorite style, brand, color, and taste. All other trail details can be found in the Gimp Manifesto (The U.N. Charter of Haring) at "daytonhash.com". Navigate to the "Guides" menu, then "Haring Guide". Oh, and we also have hash songs just above the haring guide! 😁 Hashing in General: This is a fun run or hike where you will follow a trail of flour not knowing exactly where it will lead. One or more beer/water stops along the way! In hashing you'll will be running/walking as part of a group. The faster runners will be out ahead looking for flour marks on the ground trying to figure out which way the trail route goes. Sometimes they go the wrong way which allows the slow runners/walkers to catch up and even get ahead. This allows everyone to go at their own pace and stay together as a group. Dogs: Allowed on a leash during trail. Must be "peaceful" to people and other dogs. Children: Adults only for first time hashers, since many of us do drink beer. 😋 Otherwise 18+. On-After: Still being planned! But there will be beer! Things to bring/wear: Whistle you never blow Maybe Foreign beer to share after the hash trail. Hash mug or a free plastic cup. DH4 hash mugs on sale for $16! Change of clothes and shoes Camping chair New hashers! Questions, concerns, lost or confused?
