DH4 #1674 New Carlisle Hash (Run/Walk) Date: Saturday, October 10, 2026 Time: 4 pm Location: New Carlisle Pool, 301 E Lake Ave, New Carlisle, OH 45344, USA Meet near the skatepark next to the pool. Sign-in, drink a pre-lube beer, then hash. Cost: $8 for beer drinkers. Otherwise, $4. Free for first time hashers! Hares: Just Larry & Dah Gimp Hash Trail: This is a 4-ish mile A-to-B trail with a medium amount of woods (shig). Mostly you'll encounter the shig along the narrow trails. You might want to wear high socks to avoid any chance of poison ivy. Just Larry is co-haring with Gimp. He's never hashed ...and never hared! Gimp will properly prepare him by making him memorize the Gimp Manifesto end-to-end in its entirety. 😁 Hashing in General: This is a fun run or hike where you will follow a trail of flour not knowing exactly where it will lead. One or more beer/water stops along the way! In hashing you'll will be running/walking as part of a group. The faster runners will be out ahead looking for flour marks on the ground trying to figure out which way the trail route goes. Sometimes they go the wrong way which allows the slow runners/walkers to catch up and even get ahead. This allows everyone to go at their own pace and stay together as a group. Dogs: Allowed on trail and circle. Leash is required. Must be friendly to people and other dogs. Children: Adults only for first time hashers, since many of us do drink beer. 😋 Otherwise 18+.
