Is it spooky season? Oktoberfest? Peak pumpkin-spice season? Yes. October’s too short to fit it all in, and no one told me I had to choose. Come dressed as a spooky character, a witch, an Oktoberfest reveler, a flannel/pumpkin-spice enthusiast, a creature of the night, or some cursed combination of the above. Expect trail, beer checks, pretzels, a witch’s brew stop where you can mix your own potion, seasonal nonsense, and at least one pumpkin-spice-flavored thing. Start Location: 5350 Westport Road Start time: 5:00 pm Trail: A-to-A Hash cash: $5 Bring one interesting/unique beer to share at the end of the trail if you’d like. Weird fall beers, old favorites, and “I bought this because the label was funny” picks are all welcome. We’ll taste what shows up and decide which brew is the most cursed. Then stick around for pudgy pies and s’mores, and warm up by the fire, weather permitting! Bring a vessel! On-on, you beautiful autumn disasters!
