Dust off the tents and find that cooler you swore you cleaned last year. We’re heading out to a big private valley near LaFarge, WI for a weekend of hashing, camping, and dubious mushroom identification. What: Questionable Morels Hash When: May 15–17 Where: A beautiful valley full of trails, fresh air, and allegedly an unreasonable number of morels, near LaFarge, WI https://maps.app.goo.gl/BGDXE4XQwey9Tuyx5 Plan is simple: Friday afternoon: roll in, set up camp. There’s a solid fish fry down the road if folks want an easy dinner. Saturday: trail, wandering, and morel foraging. Anything we find goes straight into the pan. Sunday: coffee, hopefully left over morels & eggs, and pack out. The campsite has plenty of room for tents, RVs, vans, and whatever cardboard structure you call home. There’s also a hunting shack nearby with running water, a sink, a flushing toilet, and bunks for about six if someone wants real walls (or if Wisconsin decides to Wisconsin the weather). Bring: camping gear, good shoes, tick spray, and your best mushroom-spotting eyes. More details coming as we get closer. For now just save the weekend and start dreaming of butter-fried morels.
