5-star shiggy trail! Not an inch of pavement (we think). Virgin hash territory (we think)! Bring $5, food to share (including a way to keep it from spoiling), strong shoes, a map to Heaven, and virgins. Title of this trail: TRAMP-RAMP-CRAMP. Directions: From I-5 at exit 21 in SW WA: Go east on Hwy 503, past Finn Hall Rd (where our old farm is), and turn left on Little Kalama River Road. Take it uphill to a 4-way stop where if you turned left it is Woodland Hts Rd. BUT INSTEAD, turn right and get ready for a very dangerous, narrow logging road--seriously, be careful on it. But it is maintained, and gravel, and sedans can use it. This will take you deep into chanterelle/huckleberry country. Steep dropoffs--be careful! Stay on the main road (Davis Peak Rd) and don't turn off onto any of the numerous little side roads. Go until you see hash cars--that's our start. It's about due west of Davis Peak (a mountain with radio tower on top). Mobile phone service up there is spotty, so maybe print out or save these d'erections. A to A trail. Adventure dogs fine (we think). Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime. Bring friends! Fun Fact: An Air Force cargo plane crashed near our start (a bit further north). The crew's bodies were recovered and over the years some parts of the plane have been cut out and removed for souvenirs. But it is a sight worth adventure-hiking to. We won't be hashing that far
