Log that you were at this run.
Sox: A wet, rainy afternoon when we met at the Doe Meadow Lot. BS anointed us with the usual chalk talk. Duelling dogs at the start (Penny & the feisty CS Dog). We were sent immediately to the C/E split. A really nice day (under cover of trees=less rain) to run these trails we had almost virtually to ourselves. Light rain to begin with. 1.5 miles later, we hit a trail intersection with BS & SS & their car for a BC. Who knew you could drive on trail? But then another car sped by. Then off the pack went (5 on Eagle, the rest on chicken) & very soon the rain picked up & never stopped. Running with streams on each trail from there on. Little did the Eagles know that although very pretty & well marked, we had almost 5 more miles to go. 4 of those 5 hit a trail intersection with marks both ways (implied check?) & went right. SoS left. But we found 3 marks then 3 more trail intersections but no more marks. Alas, SS said at circle- doesn't that mean a false trail? We slogged on back picking up trail-no further issues-just length of trail kept going on & on, eventually hitting home. But almost no one there? What gives? "Circle in the Ladies room across the parking lot". Met there by the non-running Luke Fairy & Dogmeat. Beer & snacks within. I will say, other than the false we spent 20 minutes on, this was a really nice trail-well done hares. The usual circle commenced, a moment of loud for various relatives/friends, then on to the Grasshopper for warmth and Guinness.
