Sox: The midway hash between LVH3 & SH3? Alpha, NJ sure was close to PA (last exit on I-78). The hares were hoping for double digit attendance but a few of the "spouses" chose some other activity for the day. That left us (Loogie, CSprey, Sox, the hares) with Canadian Fuxedo & Dipsickle (LVH3). You never know what a Slurvivor might bring. Previous ones involved more games & drinking & less hashing. Today's trail gave us a decent workout with only two GC (Game checks) among the 4 miles we ran. The first- a memory challenge. Secaucless figured he's finish last but in fact he "WON" the memory challenge of mirroring a line up specific cups (full or empty), shot glasses (empty) and full beers all placed in a specific order with short glances we had to match the pattern. That tells you all you need to know - that I won! A sad statement for the rest of us. A few miles later, a ballfield with shaded stands (near the finish) & a beer cap auction of whatever ws hidden under the box. In fact, no one won this considering each auctioned item was threatened to be Mallort! Pickles, sweets, snacks, beers, crackers & mallort. Yikes! On this beautiful afternoon, we drank, had a brief circle, introduced Dipsickle to an unsuccessful rendition of "A is for A". But then a very successful rendition of "Ray, a guy that buys me beer". He loved the song with a minor change "Mo, the guy that buys me beer, Ray the guy that also buys me beer". It sounds like a future hit at a circle soon to be heard. Then On after to Sharkey's (Sports Bar anyone)? Update 5-18-26 Phillipsburg Police asked to investigate a "white powder like substance" located on various streets in Alpha borrough. Fortunately it was deemed safe to the public & none hazardous. They received muliple calls and hazmat personnel investigated and said it was a non hazardous based food substance. They are investigating further out of an abundance of caution. Guess we slurvived this dangerous hash after all.
