Salty Float and Bloat Saturday July 18th at 10:00 Saltsburg Playground parking lot 40°28'53.2"N 79°26'52.8"W Scenario: Meet at the parking lot then a short Hash starts and ends at the parking lot on out at 11:00. Casual lunch before we put in at 1:00. We will float to Avonmore (4.5 miles). We will coordinate a carpool to get folks back to Saltsburg (More details to come). Folks can rent kayaks or canoes at Saltsburg Kayak and Canoe Outfitters. They are very close and will pick up you and your boat at Avonmore. All tubers please note that you will have to pair up with a kayak. This is a float not a race. All kayakers must offer to link with a tuber to keep the flotsom together. Tethers will be provided. Hares will provide beer at the start and on trail and sandwiches and snacks before the float. You are responsible for your floating beverages. Hash cash TBD. We have the upper pavilion at Pasternak Rec Area in Avonmore. There is primitive camping for $10 per tent. We need to inform the manager, Mike, a few hours before we get there.
