Super Spreader: Big Surprise and Super Spreader strike again! After learning the Fall Apple half marathon trail would overlap the original SMR trail BS planned, he quickly recced a new trail at Tourne Park in Boonton. A pack of 14, undeterred by threats of rain, showed up for what promised to be a great trail. Luckily a downpour ended just as everyone was arriving. Just John arrived with a virgin, Just Kathy. Nice to have a visitor for today’s trail! A flat trail for chickens was promised and perfectly set by SS. Unfortunately, none of the chickens found it and followed the much more challenging uphill, rocky eagle trail. Sorry, not sorry! Despite missing the chicken marks, all hashers made it to beer check in the parking lot at the end of Birchwood Lake. The pack continued trail on the other side of the lake and easily made it back to the start. Cock Sprey opted to auto hash back with me and BS which gave him the opportunity to lay some much needed RA wisdom on SS. Bottom line-I need to become Super “Karen” Spreader and not always be so nice! I promised to try! No Gen led the compulsory portion of circle then SS took over for accusations. The hares were called in for many accusations, of course. We took our punishment and happily drank our down-downs. The highlight of circle was the naming of Just John. After offering to pee on TT’s bee stings at The Laborious Day Hash, it was decided that Just John should now be called “Fifty Shades of Yellow”. After the excitement of the naming, beer and food were needed. We continued the revelry at Johnnie’s Tavern. Cheap drinks and bar pies were enjoyed by all! A fun day all around!
